We ahave took more measurements about the catapults so now we will run some more test

Friday, February 13, 2015

We built catapults with hot glue, craft sticks, and rubber bands.

Today we measured the how much  degrees you pull the catapult

Wednesday, February 11, 2015

We have been taking calculations on how much we pull back the catapults.  We are also making another catapult.

Monday, February 9, 2015

Model 2 launches paper ball ,weighing 0.3 grams, approximately  4.5 yards. Model 3 shoots the same paper ball, 4.3 yards. Model 4 shoots the same paper ball 4.4 yards. Model 2 shoots a maker cap, weighing 9.7 grams, approximately 5.3 yards. Model 3 shoots the same cap approximately 5 yards. Model 4 launches the same cap 4.9 yards. Model 2 shoots things the farthest. By the way when we test are catapults we pull it all the way back to get the maximum amount of force. When you pull back model its about an 11 degree angle. Model 3 when pulled back its about 13 degree angle. Model 4 when pulled back makes an 30 degree angle.

Today we made a new catapult and it is pretty effective. We tested the distance at witch the catapult made the object into the basket.Model 2 is the best catapult and the new catapult is the 2nd best model. The new catapult shoots straight up and not straight.

Wednesday, February 4, 2015

We tested the catapult with different materials such a penny that weighs 2.5 grams and the paper ball that weighs 0.3 grams and next thing that we make is something that can work from your wrist so you can shoot things from your arm without people seeing hopefully we can show you how to make it thanks
We are testing our catapults to see witch one lunches the object better.

Monday, February 2, 2015

Today we made our 2nd catapult and it was successful. It doesn't launch as far as the binder clip catapult ,but it is still good.Along the way there was trial and error but we fixed the mistakes,to make the catapult better

Success

We built our first sucessful catapult today. We used zip ties, binder clip, and craft sticks.
Our first catapult was a failure because we did not put the rubber band correctly. To fix this we are going to the rubber band correctly.

Introduction

This is our science group Vongola. The members of the group are Daniel,Michael,Christopher,Angel. Our group is going make a catapult
to see if the type of catapult can affect how far the object flies. We went to
Science Buddies to get our ideas and then we went to Youtube to see how it was made
